As part of an international solidarity volunteering program with France Volontaires , I undertook a mission as a journalist-trainer within the Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation , the Seychelles' public broadcasting service. There, I covered news related to the Covid-19 pandemic, produced fact-checking videos to combat disinformation circulating on social media, and contributed to the coverage of the legislative and presidential elections, a historic moment marked by the first democratic transition since the 1977 coup.

My role also involved providing individual training to journalists on editing software, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro, as well as on the conception and production of French-language news stories. This training experience was also very enriching for me: I learned Seychellois Creole and was able to produce long-form reports in that language on topics that are particularly important to me, such as environmental protection.
